What restaurant is better and why? Applebees, TGIF or Ruby Tuesdays?

It depends on what kind of dining you are looking for. If you want a better dining experience and don't mind extra cost, choose Ruby Tuesday. They have made their menu more upscale by including salmon and crabcake dishes, better steaks, and amazing burgers made of prime cuts of sirloin. Their bar is also better stocked than the others--with fresh-squeezed lemon and orange juice, as well as grapefruit juice, they are better able to make better cocktails. They average a quarter more per drink than the other restaurants, but if you want a fancy cocktail, it's the way to go. They also have the fresh "garden bar," which has something like 64 different items to choose from, ranging from iceberg to spinach salads and pasta salads. I like Ruby Tuesday, but as I already stated, it is a little pricier than the other restaurants. They're aiming at becoming more like the Cheesecake Factory than Applebees.



Applebees and TGIF are generally more laidback American grill restaurants. Their menus are almost indistinguishable from each other. In my experience, the service at Applebees leaves something to be desired. I think TGIF has a more festive, partylike atmosphere (it's right there in the name of the restaurant, after all). If I were torn between the two, I'd choose TGIF.
