Is a quarter pounder from McD really a quarter pound?

A little debate at the office during lunch...lol
My co-workers believes it is before and after it is cooked.
oh the other hand I remember being told it only weighed a quarter pound before it was cooked and after it is much less.

it's 1/4 a pound precooked. After cooking it weighs noticeably less.

it definitely is a quarter pond net weight before cooking.it sure shrinks down alot once all the grease starts to come out
