Olive Garden sucks. Might as well have a drive thru window. Cheap frozen dinners.

No not realy, but what is authentic? Maybe they should hire the cokie monster's old bag of a grandma to cook at all the olive gardens.

tastes like a frozen dinners to me. i see them in my mind behind the door to the kitchen, taking frozen dinners out of the microwave and putting them and a little leaf on the side of the plate to make it pretty.

Pretty close I worked at Olive Garden a few years back and I have an Italian Mother-N-Law. Besides they do have a culinary institute in Italy.

ITS KINDA LIKE PIZZA HUT: IF YOU WANT REAL PIZZA, GO TO ONE OF THE REAL PIZZA PLACES. IF YOU WANT REAL ITALIAN, DON'T GO TO OLIVE GARDEN. BUT IF YOU LIKE SOME OF THEIR STUFF, AS I DO, THEN DON'T HESITATE TO GO.

No way. Olive Garden is generic table service fast food. They totally spin things with sugar and salt to appeal to the American pallet. This they do very well. Nobody said they were stupid.

I've been to Italy and I don't think it is similar. I like Olive Garden but I don't think it is authentic. I think Carabba's is more authentic.

Oh god, so not authentic. Once as a joke, we took friends from Italy there and the waiter tried to correct their pronunciation of fagole! Our frinds were appaled that this was what passed as Italian in our town so they cooked us up a huge Italian feast.

No..To get authentic food from anywhere you need to be in that country of said choice..or have a native of that country cook for you..Most dishes at american restaurants are just a version of the original dish..Some get it closer than others some just suk!..:)
