In Austin there's a place called Chuy's. It's mexican food, very frilly & fun in there.

Well TX is really big so there is a lot to choose from-

Outside of Austin is the Salt Lick- very rustic and good BBQ.

I believe there is a rain forest Cafe in the Dallas Area.

Buca Di Beppo is a chain but I like the pictures they have hanging on the wall.

The best places though are in Austin-

Katz Deli

Huts Hamburgers

there are some bars and restaurants around the University also that are just kind of eclectic and cool.

For Coffee- go to Mozarts- the decor isn't special but the view is nice of the lake and the coffee and brownies are GOOD.
