What are some great restaurants in Seaside Heights, NJ?

I am taking some vacation time to the Seaside Boardwalk with my boyfriend, and am curious to know some favorite eats of the locals and/or whoever spends quality time in Seaside. Also, where is all the the best shopping in this area? Thank you!!

Seaside locals probably leave the area if they want something other than 'boardwalk' food. But there is a nice restaurant in Seaside Park called Berkeley's. It's about a three minute drive from the boardwalk. Otherwise you'd probably have to go back over the bridge into Tom's River (or beyond). There are your typical bar and touristy restaurants on the blocks off the boardwalk, but the food (at least we found it to be) is not great. For breakfast tho, you have to go to Bobber's. Be prepared to wait at least a half hour for a table, but it's worth it. Great food, large portions and the atmosphere is "Seaside Heights." The same goes for shopping -- you have to leave the area and hit the malls. But can't you do that another time? Going to seaside means walking the boardwalk while eating funnel cake!
